GO DEEP - AN UNDERGROUND COLOSSEUM EXCURSION + ANCIENT ROME
Description
There you are… Clad in armor, and ruthless to the bone. 70,000 Romans stare you down, waiting to watch you kill or be killed… Football doesn’t seem so brutal anymore, huh?
Sure… The Colosseum is on everybody’s list. After all, it’s one of Rome’s most popular destinations. In the height of the season, 30-40 thousand people a day line up, and do their best to take in the 2000 year old marvel.
But most of them are totally missing out…
You didn’t come here to wait in lines or look at pictures. You came to Rome because you want to feel it, see it, and touch it yourself. That’s where the Arena Tour comes in…
After you meet up with your droll-proof guide, get ready to skip-the-line and find yourself face to face with the reality of everyday life for the ancient Roman Gladiator.
That’s right… You get to explore the Arena Floor itself and find yourself surrounded and engulfed in that Ancient Roman Stadium that gives a whole new meaning to the word “Superbowl!”
There, you can stare hundreds of feet up to the highest rows, and imagine a booming throng of 70,000 Romans locking eyes on you as you slay an African Lion or go head-to-head in a life and death match to see who gets to retire, and who gets to die. – Brutal. Crazy. History.
Also including a number of nearby Roman must-sees and ruins, this tour surrounds you in Ancient Roman life and goes way beyond the average Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill tour. You get the guidance of an English-speaking expert and a small group… all while your imagination puts you in the middle of ancient Rome, in one of the most epic ways possible.
Book this one to get a special experience of the Colosseum, from the inside out. It’s worth it for the “Gate of Death” alone!
Enjoy!
