If the Pope went Kayaking
GROUP KAYAKING ON ONE OF ITALY’S MOST BEAUTIFUL VOLCANIC LAKES…
Description
With all the magnificence that Rome is known for… you probably haven’t even heard of nearby Castelli Romani...
...but believe me, there’s a reason this historic and pristine locale (about 30 minutes outside Rome) is commonly known as one of the most scenic sites in all of Italy.
As the home of the Pope’s Summer Residence, Castel Gandolfo is the perfectly preserved ancient town that sits far atop a pristine volcanic crater lake, Lago Albano.
It’s been a place of reflection, awe, and natural peace for eons.
Here’s your chance to calmly paddle your way through pristine ancient waters… to bathe in the freshness of a pure Italian lake … and to survey the scenic history under expert guidance.
… All while getting a little exercise and finding yourself far-removed from the hustle and bustle of the city! (a great way to round-out a trip)
This well-planned out day trip is an up-close and personal experience of the lake brought to you by two former competitive kayakers who’ve turned their energy away from the races, and towards showing you this beautiful place they’ve called home since birth.
You’ll be picked up (personally, by them) at an easily accessible point on the metro in Rome, driven to Lago Albano (while you guys get to know each other), and treated to 3 hours of picturesque kayaking (suitable for all skill levels) on the lake.
And since this day trip includes food, drinks, all the equipment you need, transportation to and from the Lago, and expert instruction and advice… I think it’s safe to say this is pretty much an “all-inclusive” way to get out and get some sunshine!
You’ll also spend plenty of time swimming in the clear mountain waters, hearing about the history of the town, and stopping along the lakeshore to take in the quaint surroundings… so this trip gives you way more than a few hours in a kayak.
It’s a great way to feel the region, and see WHY it’s called one of the most fabulous places in all Italy!
Oh, and about the food…
Since it’s easy to work up an appetite on the lake, this tour makes sure you’re fully taken care of! - You’ll tour some of Lake Albano’s best food and wine spots to round out the day, and get a truly comprehensive out-of-city experience.
When you’re done with everything Lake Albano has to offer… you’ll be driven back into Rome personally. - An all-around way to get some natural Italian splendor, without worrying about the details.
Book this trip to get a great “outdoorsy” compliment to all the fantastic things you’ll see in the metro area, and to have a little fun out on the water on a warm summer day.
The “Old Pastoral Italy” you want to experience… KAYAK STYLE!
Enjoy!
