Borghese Gallery - The Original Playboy Mansion
ENJOY THE INTIMATE RENAISSANCE MUSEUM THAT'S LOADED WITH OOHS AND AAHS.....
Description
Ready for a museum you can really fall in love with? - I hope so!
The Borghese Gallery isn’t like Rome’s other sprawling and endless museums (but those are awesome too)...
Instead, this one-time home of the Cardinal of Borghese is a manageable way to experience loads of the world’s remaining Renaissance Masterworks, while upping your art-history game too!
Housed inside, you’ll encounter works by Caravaggio, Bernini, Leonardo, Raphael… and the rest of the Ninja Turtles. (Not really… but funny, right? )
Really though… The Borghese is renowned not only for selling out well in advance (every single day) … but also for the sheer volume of fascinating, odd, and intriguing art that this small building contains...
You’ll feel like you’ve accomplished something thoroughly, and gotten a crash course in the wild-western Renaissance, in just a few hours!
A BIG ONE for Art Lovers (you know who you are) … The Borghese is home to a world-class collection of Renaissance treasures.
Marvel at perfectly sculpted faces and bodies, that bring to life mythological treasures like Pluto & Persephone, David, Apollo & Daphne…
Drink in the essence of paintings and sculptures that art historians are still trying to make sense of … hear an expert storyteller bring 500-year-old history to life again …. and … there’s even a statue where the beads of sweat and robes look so photo-realistic that it’s hard to imagine a meer mortal doing such incredible work. ( Divine intervention? - Hmm, well… it is Rome! )
Not your average museum either! - Nope. In fact, the more you hear the stories your Guide will tell, the more you’ll understand about why this petite treasure is considered “The Original Playboy Mansion.” (Have your attention now? - Thought so.)
So book this tour to widen the scope of your imagination! - Good art always does just that, after all. - That’s why this museum sells out fast, everyday. - Not to mention that the 360 degree view you get of each hard-to-believe sculpture is unique, enjoyable, and a rare find in a Roman museum!
Rest Assured… Renaissance inspiration is still with us today, if you know where to look!
(Hint, Hint… it’s right here. For sure. Like, check it out. Really.)
Enjoy!
